Advocate for Early Childhood Education (ECE) with NVAEYC Today!
Welcome from Advocacy Committee Chair Nicole Lazarte
Nicole Lazarte has been in the early childhood education field since 2015. Before becoming a teacher herself, she grew up helping her mom run a family home day care. She is currently a Lead Infant Teacher at ACCA Child Development Center, Annandale. She is also on the Provider Advisory Council with Virginia Promise Partnership. Nicole began getting involved with NVAEYC in early 2020 and is now a Member-at-Large and the Advocacy Committee Chair. Nicole is passionate about working towards equity and inclusion for children and teachers in the field. Please feel free to contact me if you want to discuss an opportunity to tell your story! Public Policy Statement
NVAEYC believes that every child, birth through age eight, has a safe, healthy environment with caring people who promote their well-being, meet their individual needs, and support learning through play. In collaboration with NAEYC, state, and local organizations, NVAEYC informs members and the community about relevant local, state, and federal policies as well as communicates with legislators, advocating on behalf of young children and the early care and education workforce.
As educators, we know the positive impact that quality early childhood education programs have on all young children. We need YOUR help to remind local, state, and federal legislators of the need for accessible, affordable, and quality education for our country’s youngest learners.
